My mate had an audition for Britain's got talent 2010! So went around to check out the process and the competition. There were all sorts of people there but there were quite a number of kids. There was a quartet of dancers who were quite impressive warming up, doing flips, etc. Also there was a young girl doing some breakdancing.
Whilst there was Chris who sung and I think/hoped danced a little bit too in his audition!
Apparently you can reserve (free) tickets at Applausestore.

Random Musings - Day #292
Forgot to mention Beth Tweedle and Lee Westwood were also winners for Britain. I would be slightly worried if Clare Balding interviewed Beth Tweedle at the Sports Personality of the year, particularly after her comments in her interview with Liam Tredwell after he won the grand national. Clint Eastwood showed up and took part in the ceremonies for the Lyon football game.

Random Musings - Day #149
Britain's got last semi
I just finished watching the last semi-final heat. I was looking forward to seeing the break-dance kid, Aidan Davis and wasn't disappointed. If it wasn't for Susan Boyle's popularity he would be favourite to win the final. Also the comparisons between him and last year's winner George Sampson may stop him.
Boyle is courting controversy particularly with her recent outburst which made her sound like Rab C Nesbitt.
The other qualifier was wee Hollie Steel who actually broke down during her performance. But she got to have a second crack and did well. She got through the judge's vote, which wasn't surprising and considering what happen to fellow contestant Natalie Okri...
The final, for what it's worth, this is how I think it might finish...
1. Aidan Davis
2. Susan Boyle
3. Stravos Flatley
Mascot cheeky jab
Funny video of a mascot getting a swipe in on a football player.

Thyroid Cancer
Shame to hear that BBC's Clare Balding has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Those of you who know, a family member recently had that and is still need precautionary treatment. It's no laughing matter. So I wish Clare well.
M&S Bra
They have been selling well of late due massive billboard posters of an ample woman with a green bra. The woman in question has been revealed as Natalie Suliman. This campaign has been compared to the 'hello boys' wonderbra poster from 1994.
Computer bits
Here's a list of IP Numbers which relate to the transport layer protocol which of course the popular TCP and UDP. And for those of you who might forget how to unzip and untar a compressed tarball...

Random Musings - Day #144
Football
In the end, I got it wrong, Hull managed to stay up despite losing once more as Newcastle and Middlesborough both drop into the Championship. Moving up to join them are Scunthorpe who beat Millwall. Millwall will stay with a whole bunch of teams from the South East. Sunderland have a job opening available. I predict either Avram Grant or Alan Curbishley will take over. Oh yeah and Ayr beat Airdrie to get promoted in Scottish League 1.
Britain's got talent
Start of the semi-final. A hard semi-final as it turned out with outright favourite Susan Boyle, Diversity, Sue Son and little Natalie Okri all in it. The former two qualified. But I have to feel sorry for little Natalie who lost in a judges vote to Diversity.

Random Musings - Day #126
Hack me from a distance
Laser Pens used to pick off laptop keystrokes from 100ft.
Bite me!
Awful story as a guy gets caught in the act, the hard way from the register whose tagline is "biting the hand that feeds it", which is ironic you consider biting part of the story!
Britain's fixed talent
I am starting to not like Britain's got talent because it would appear that Jamie Pugh who appeared on the show has *already* performed on the West End stage. Combined with Shaheen Jafargholi, the kid that performed the Michael Jackson track so beautifully as he was in the Thriller musical.

Random Musings - Day #110
Britain's got fixed... err Talent
Shaheen Jafargholi appeared on Britain's got Talent and performed in the end two songs. The original song, "Valerie" was actually poorly sung. The kid wasn't sung in time at all and actually Simon Cowell was right to stop him and ask him a second song. He sung "Who's loving you" by Michael Jackson. He nailed it, which makes for good TV.
However, it turns out much to my disappointment that he played Michael Jackson in the musical about him. So I smell a rat... definitely a roust. Even if it wasn't played up for TV, I don't think it's fair that someone like him (no matter how young he is) who has already has had some success in the entertainment business should be allowed to take part in this competition. I've read in the newspaper that he also has been in Torchwood and Casualty. Oh look he's got an IMDB entry. Not impressed!
I really hope Susan Boyle wins... unless she happens to have been singing on behalf of Lesley Garrett or Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

Probably a spoiler but we've reached episode 18 of 24/7. There's a huge twist. So if you want to see my thoughts on this, you'll have to highlight the space below.
Tony Almeida kills the head of the FBI department and needs the bioweapon cannister to give to the people he is working for. That is unknown. Also unknown is who is working for. Most people in the forum thinks he's been bad all along. Initially when he turned out to be working with the ex-CTU gang, Bill and Chloe, he admitted his character wasn't 100% clean, which left the way for a turn back to the evil side. I forgot about that particularly as he's been working with Jack Bauer.
Who may be helping him. Janis? Well she's not done anything of any significance. Chloe? She's disappeared. Apparently new character Cara Bowden played by Amy Price-Fisher is going to be a co-conspirator.
However, I am beginning to like the sound of the idea of.... Kim Bauer? Why? Reason #1, She said she has been looking for Jack Bauer, which naturally gives her an excuse to be in the area. Reason #2, Tony asked about Kim, possibly to make sure she is in place. Reason #3 and perhaps the important reason, a decent plot-line for Elisha Cuthbert.
Hull
Along time ago, December 11th 2008, I told my workmates that Hull City would get relegated even though they were in 7th position at the time. Much to everyone's merryment, they won their next game. However look where they are now, 16th and plummeting fast. If only I had the sense to put some money behind it. I think it was like 5/1 at the time.
