Random Musings - Day #177

Karaoke
I am actually finding it quite hard to find a decent location to go to a karaoke place. The decent ones are way up in London and are open during the week. Whilst other ones appear to be in seedy parts of town. A couple of places I've been to Belushi's in London Bridge and Puzzle Bar in Pimlico.
I've been looking for guides and pubsingers.com appears to be good guide. There are others like Karaokeinfo but not they are not as good and may not be up to date.
There's a useful London listing from squaremeal.

Avenue Q
Avenue Q didn't disappoint. The songs were so un-PC, it was great. Particularly in the first half of the show. I thought the girl who played Kate Monster/Lucy Slut was great and it turns it was the understudy, Rachel Jerram. Christmas Eve was funny too. Also apparently Maria Lawson was there. Mind you, I didn't recognise her and I am not so sure if it is the same one that did very well on x-factor a couple of years ago, especially there is no reference to it on wikipedia. The current cast ensemble is here.
Ah it's not the same Maria Lawson...
